Imagine you`re on a private tropical island. You`ve just finished diving for the day and you`re relaxing on a sandy beach, catching the last rays of a fiery orange sunset. The dinner bell rings and you remember the chef was going to prepare his specialty, Seared Opakapaka and Scallops with Lobster-Passion Fruit-Ginger Sauce.
At dinner a gift arrives for you. It`s a beautiful arrangement of locally grown flowers. The card says: `Happy Birthday, Darling`. It`s from your husband or your boyfriend (or both).

While you`re eating the most fabulous food you have ever tasted, you start thinking about tomorrow`s dive trip. In the morning you`re going to be diving with dolphins. In the afternoon you`re completing the last dive of your Advanced Open Water Scuba Certification

All of a sudden the waiters appear carrying a chocolate birthday cake with chocolate icing, your favorite. All your friends burst out singing Happy Birthday. You make a wish and blow out the candle. It`s then you realize your wish has already come true!

| Message from the President |

Greetings!
I am honored to assume the role of OBDC President for 2008-2009. First, I would like to thank our past leadership and retiring directors...I have big shoes to fill!
Second, I`d like to share with you how this phenominal organization evolved. OBDC (Old Broads Dive Club) was conceived in 1999 by Jane Huessener, who invited 5 women (myself included) for dinner to discuss her concept of organizing a dive club for woman only...of course; our Sherpa’s and families were always welcome. Her dream was shared and OBDC was born!

To date, we have 170 paid members who we have traveled with and created some awesome memories.
OBDC is a club that caters to women who enjoy water and tropical destinations! Many who have joined us as swimmers and snorkelers have become certified divers and now share the experience of the underwater world.
OBDC continues to provide it`s members with great travel destinations and is committed to bringing each and every person, wonderful friendships and adventures. I am honored to be a part of this wonderful organization. Thank you Jane, for sharing your dream and creating a fantastic organization.
